Operations Status as of April 2004

Cutting Permit A of W1832 was issued in January 2003. This docuement gave the Woodlot licencees the right to harvest timber in the first two cut blocks in the woodlot. Logging commenced soon after and proceeded as planned through 2003, except for the long fire season shutdown. Blocks 1 and 2 were completed in April 2004.

Small scale salvage of pine beetle kiled trees within reach of exisitng roads continues to be carried out.

Logging is carried out using a small cat and a two or three person crew.
